Ciao Lucca hello Siena

Arrived in Siena saturday, staying just for a few days before we reach Perugia. Bomboloncini (custard filled glazed Italian doughnuts) an absolute must!

Milan

Two days in Milan. Stunning shops and the San Siro football stadium. Vic did her best to keep the Milan shopkeepers in business.

Tuscan Cooking

> Had a great day yesterday experiencing Tuscan cooking with our chef Giuseppe in his amazing 17th century home which sat on the hills overlooking Lucca. It was a small group of five including three other Aussies! We were in great company with Marie, Yvonne and Annette. On the menu was homemade pasta with a sausage, leek, artichoke and cauliflower sauce - divine! For Secondi, we had roast pork with potatoes and rosemary - succulent and salty and for dessert, heavenly Tiramisu like no Tiramisu ever before. Get cooking girls!

Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a fantastic New Year and we hope it brings all you wish for.

Our pics show us celebrating Christmas Day in Italian style with Panetone and bubbles for starters; Rob and I about to tuck into turkey and 7 veg!

We saw the New Year in with a party on 'the wall' with great music and a live band and we have continued to enjoy the sights of Lucca.

Much love and best wishes for 2012.
